Once the scene is finished, I render the usual various passes (occ, shades, etc.) and I composit the whole in Photoshop. A small addition: I add some grain to the image with an overlay texture on the whole composition (paper texture) so as to add some irregularity in the rendering and to make it look less like raw 3D, a look which I’m not very fond of 😉 This also helps emphasizing the snowy effect of the image.
