“Foot rigging” by Sean Hewitt
So unlike before in the simple game rig, we want to make something a little bit more intuitive to use here. We’re going to make some cv curve controls that are easy to select, don’t render and that we can attach some other attributes to to control these various parts of the rig that aren’t automated. To do this we’ll make a polygon box that fits around the foot of our character and then trace it with a linear cv curve.
So make a box and fit it around the foot. You’ll want the base of the box right on the base of the geometry of your foot. Doing this in wireframe makes it easier to see.
After we make our box, I suggest selecting it and hitting alt+h to make it the only thing visible.
Open up you’re cv curve tool options and set it to linear. Then trace your box. When your done delete the polygon box. Name this new cv curve box lf_footCTRL Point snap it’s pivot point to the heel of the rig In this case I don’t suggest orienting the LRA.
